Poulithra of Arkadia

Poulithra is a picturesque seaside village, 9 km southeast of Leonidio, the capital of Kynouria of Arkadia and southern of Plaka.

It combines harmoniously the mountain with the sea as it is located 2 km from the beach and is enhanced by the presence of the beautiful natural environment that surrounds the area.

Based on the 2001 census, the Poulithra - birthplace of poet Ouranis- has 598 inhabitants, whose main occupation is agriculture, fisheries, livestock and tourism.

The village is famous for its picturesque houses, which have kept their traditional character and architecture of Kynourian mansions.

It consists of two districts, one of which is a summer attraction and holds a pebble beach.
