The
access to the prefecture can be achieved by the use of a car through the existing
road net.
The best way to explore Chalkidiki is to have your own conveyance,
while it's worth visiting place that the local transport facilities and the organized
excursions don't reach.

FERRY:
The nearest port with continuous routes is the one of Thessaloniki.
There aren't any ship routes for areas of Chalkidiki.
Tripiti - Ammouliani
Ferryboats depart from Trypiti towards Ammouliani every day, and with several
routes. The duration of the course is 15 minutes.
There is also a power boat
of the Municipality that follows the course Trypiti - Ammouliani with regular
route, as well as at any day and time, after making a deal.

BOATS, KETCHES AND SMALL SHIPS:
Many daily excursions take place by small
ships, from different areas of Halkidiki towards neighbor beaches.
You can
still make the circumnavigation of Agio Oros and admire its well known monasteries.

TRAIN :
Halkidiki doesn't have a railway network. The nearest railway
station is located in Thessaloniki. If you decide to come by a train, you may
need to arrive at Thessaloniki and by there to transfer to any point of Halkidiki
you wish by a bus (KTEL) or a taxi.
