The Ski Resort of Kalavryta is one of the most famous ski resorts in the country, because in addition to the services and the beauty that it offers, the relatively short distance from Athens, makes it facilitated even for a day's excursion.
It is in the northwest side of Chelmos in Vatheia Lakka at an altitude of 1650 m to 2340 m.
Here, there is the highest aerial lift in Greece that gives you a chance to enjoy a spectacular view extending to the waters of the Corinthian Gulf, at eastern Achaia.
The Ski Resort of Kalavryta, thanks to its rich infrastructure, can comfortably meet the high demands of sports delegations or the isolated athletes involved in winter sports.
At the site Diaselo of Avgo at 2100 meters, is operated the mountain lodge V. Leontopoulos, with capacity up to 15 people, with heating (oil stove and fireplace), which you can visit after a walk of half an hour from the ski resort.
ACCESS - STAY - ENTERTAINMENT
 The Ski Center of Kalavrita is 14 kilometres away from Kalavryta, the town that has given its name.
The relatively short distance from Athens (203 km) and 103 km distance from Patras, makes it particularly accessible for ski-lovers.
The location is the northwest side of Chelmos at an altitude of 1700m. (Xerokampos) to 2.340m. (Neraidorachi).

FACILITIES
 The ski-resort is operating since 1988 and has 7 lifts, 12 runs, parking spaces, cafes, restaurants, shop that sales and lets ski-equipment, ski school and a First Aid Station.
On premises you will find special track for moguls ski, for snowboard, the routes cross country ski, the unique park with snow tubes, you can enjoy paragliding, routes with snowmobiles and many events.
For those who love aviation, the ski resort of Kalavrita is the ideal place to take off either to the valley of Luca, or to Kalavrita and Memorial.
At the top of the ski-center of Neraidorahi at an altitude of 2340 meters, installed and operating the sophisticated telescope Aristarchus (in honor of the ancient Greek astronomer Aristarchus), the Athens observatory with a diameter of 2.3 meters, the largest in the Balkans and Eastern Mediterranean. The telescope can also observe objects at a distance of 5 billion light years away.
Lovers of hiking will find and enjoy several walking routes.
