Despotico
Despotico is a small uninhabited islet of great archaeological interest. It is identified with the ancient Prepesintho and its soil has been excavated many times by Chris Tsountas in 1898 where, according to some information, discovered Cycladic cemeteries and various other ancient finds.
For history lovers as well as for everyone, a visit to this place is definitely a great experience. Apart from Despotico, is worth visiting the islands of Tsimintiri and Strogilo.

On the west side of Antiparos we find the beach of Sifneiko Gialos with taverns and cafes. Starting from Sifneiko you can visit the area of Stavros which has stunning sea views.
Two other beautiful beaches are the Livadi and Monasteries.
Recapitulating, Antiparos is a small paradise that hosts "a bunch" of beautiful beaches.

The cave
On the hill of St. John, at an altitude of 177 meters from the sea, is an impressive cave that has been the reason for a great turnout of a lot of tourists from abroad. This cave is rich in stalactites that are the oldest in Europe and have particular morphological characteristics.
For your direct access to the cave, a road begins from the harbour. For the descent into the depths of the cave, a staircase has been constructed. The cave accretes thousands of visitors every year from different countries.
Althought, the descent and the ascent, in the deep of the cave are a bit tedious, it is certainly a lifetime experience.
The visit of the museum is a must for every visitor of Antiparos and there is no reason for not performing.
You can visit the cave from 10:00' to 15:30, the the duration of the visit is about 20 -30 minutes and the length of the route visited about 200 meters.

The castle
Wondering in the narrow streets of the island, we will not miss to see the Venetian castle in the eponymous region. It is not at the highest point as usual but its distinctive shape makes it visible from afar, while its history says it dates to early 1440 in order to protect the inhabitants from the pirates.
The entrance to the castle is located in the north of the village square, next to the Cathedral of St. Nicholas.
