Pieria Mountains lie north of Mount Olympus in an exceptional natural environment, with traditional settlements (Skotina (Morna), Milia, Ritini, Elatochori, Ryakia, etc.). The remarkable flora and fauna of the area is part of the European Ecological Network of Natura 2000, so that to have adequate protection.

Titaros Mountain lies between Pieria and Olympus mountains and its biggest part belongs to Larissa prefecture. The highest altitude is at the top of Sapka (1839 m) and the vegetation is mainly consists of oak at the low-altitude and beech trees at the highest. The fauna includes boars, foxes and many species of birds.
On the slopes, you will find the beautiful mountainous and hilly settlements of Agios Dimitrios, Fotina and Livadi.
