History
The ski center of Pelion has been created by the initiative of the Greek Alpine Club (GAC) of Volos at the top position "Agriolefkes" of Pelion.
The closest dorp is the dorp of Chania.
Since 1930, year of establishment of the GAC of Volos, a team of skiers takes action in Magnesia, which makes the first efforts to deal with and popularize skiing, to carry out infrastructures so as the realization of the specific activity to be organized.
In 1935, in paths that are widened the first ski run Pliasidi Chania is created. In 1937, the procedures for the creation of a resort at Pliasidi started. This effort finally didn't flourish, mainly because Pliasidi didn't have a favorable orientation in relation to the snow.
