Tourist Guide of Serifos

Welcome to the island of myth and reality. With the unique architecture of the castle of Chora, the endless beaches, its mining history, the historical monastery, the traditional villages, the great wine and the hospitable inhabitants.

Serifos is located between Kithnos and Sifnos. It is an island of intense oppositions and with an active magnetic field from the metalliferous rocks, it consists an ideal proposal fro tranquil holidays in an absolute Cycladean environment or intense night life which captures you at first sight.

Meet its beaches like Psili Ammos, which has been granted the first prize among the 20 most beautiful beaches in Europe. Leave yourself to the touch of the sun and enjoy yourselves with the people of Serifos, their hospitality, the excellent food and the entertainment.

In Livadi, the port of the island, there are many shelters for your stay, taverns, cafes, types of popular art shops and hand made decorative things. There is also night life and you can enjoy yourself until the morning.

There is also one of the biggest sandy beaches of the island, Avlomonas.

It is also worthy to visit Megalo Chorio where the ruins of the Hellenistic Tower are, which are called 'Lefkos Pirgos' or 'Aspropirgos'. At the location "Kastro tis Grias" are still a part of the wall and a few houses.

If you want you can find out the sea bend and be charmed by its beauty. There is a diving club operating on the island.

The island is very appropriate for the walkers and the paved with stone paths leades to beaches, historical locations and little churches.
