This is a handmade PVC pipe (water pipe) shakuhachi.

New, original, with an equal temperament tuning system.


・ Total length: Approximately 45.8 cm (slightly longer as the bottom of the pipe is open)


・ Front of mouthpiece: Approximately 23 degrees
・ Chin rest: Machined (see image)
・ Both inner edges of the front of the mouthpiece: Machined (see image) ... makes it easier to play loudly
・ Hole: 7 holes (0.5 hole: Chu-meri, 3.5 hole: Dai-meri)
・ Reason for making the 0.5 hole (below the 1st hole) Chu-meri instead of Dai-meri: Allows you to play scales starting from Tsu without meri, and easily accommodates both Chu-meri and Dai-meri depending on the song, making it easier to play for some pieces (recommended 7-hole configuration).


・ Milky white and purple cracked matte finish


・ No seam on the outside of the mouthpiece: Original Triple Mouthpiece (not only for appearance, but also provides good balance without making the mouthpiece too heavy)
・ Mouthpiece size: Outer diameter: approx. 3.6 cm, Inner diameter: approx. 2.1 cm, processed wider than a standard water pipe shakuhachi (closer to the size of a bamboo shakuhachi)
・ Shape of the pipe bottom: Unique curve and flare, with the area just before the pipe bottom processed into an oval shape (improves both appearance and sound)
・ Painting: After base treatment, multiple coats of paint, and finally a clear coating (luxurious feel and durability)
・ Signature: Kozan inscription
